A message from Sigma Kappa

The horrific loss of life in Israel and Gaza is being felt by many and takes a heavy emotional toll. It is essential that we come together, live our shared values.

Refer to the lists below for resources that may help navigate the emotional challenges:

Self-care & Mental Health

  • Mental Health Support: If you or someone you know is struggling, it is important to seek help. Consider reaching out to a mental health professional who can provide guidance and support.
  • Self-Care: Practicing self-care is essential during times of emotional stress. Engage in activities that help you relax and recharge, such as meditation, yoga or spending time with a friend or a group with similar perspective who can provide support.
  • Crisis Hotlines: If you are in immediate distress, please don’t hesitate to contact a crisis hotline. They are available 24/7 and can provide assistance and someone to talk to in an emergency.

Educational Resources

Understanding the psychological impact of war can be empowering. Consider reading books or articles to gain insights and coping strategies. These resources were provided by our partner Talkspace.
