Where the Heart is

The spring issue of the Sigma Kappa Triangle explores the many ways Sigma Kappa housing fosters connection, belonging and sisterhood across our chapters. In this issue, we explore chapter houses that are large, small, new and historic; meet some of the dedicated house directors who keep our homes running smoothly; and highlight two interior design firms bringing the Sigma Kappa brand and experience to life inside our chapter properties.

Press Releases

Stay up-to-date with all the latest news from Sigma Kappa by accessing the list of archived press releases. Sigma Kappa issues press releases to announce new or closing chapters, major housing updates, the death of a collegian or notable Sigma Kappa and other major events that directly impact the sorority. Press releases regarding a member’s death are only released after getting permission from their next of kin.

A death of a Sigma Kappa member is felt deeply across our organization. We are committed to handling communications with care, respect and sensitivity.

The national organization will not post or reshare news of a member's passing on our official social media channels, since we recognize this is deeply personal information. In some instances we will issue a press release following the death of a collegiate member or notable alumna. We will defer to the wishes of the member's family, friends and chapter on how they wish to share and allow them to grieve in a manner that is most appropriate for them. Thoughtful consideration will be given to the timing, tone and privacy of those closest to our member.

For questions or concerns please email info@sigmakappa.org.
