Sigma Kappa understands everyone needs someone to talk to at times, and for women who are on-the-go, it can sometimes be hard to find time to get help. Because we are dedicated to the wellness of our members, Sigma Kappa has partnered with Talkspace to provide personal, convenient and confidential online counseling.

New undergraduate users of Talkspace can visit our partnership website at talkspace.com/sigmakappa and sign up using their email address. Once you have signed up, follow the prompts to finish creating your account and begin using the service.

Talkspace FAQs

Talkspace is designed to be easy to use no matter where you are. Once you have set up your account you’ll be asked to complete a brief assessment. This assessment will take you less than two minutes to complete. Based on the answers to the assessment questions, you’ll be matched with up to three counselors. Once you have read their profiles and selected the one that is best for you, you can begin messaging the same day. Talkspace counselors are available five days a week and you have unlimited text, audio or video messaging with them once you begin!

The usage of Talkspace is 100% private. Sigma Kappa will not know if you are using Talkspace.

Talkspace is now considered an in-network provider for select insurance plans. You can check eligibility to see if Talkspace is covered under your insurance plan by visiting www.talkspace.com/insurance. If Talkspace is included within your insurance coverage, you cannot also use the voucher code for a discounted rate provided to Sigma Kappa members at the same time.

In an effort to expand our support of the mental health and well-being of our undergraduate members, Sigma Kappa has partnered with Give Virtual Care. Give Virtual Care offers Virtual Healthcare Membership plans that work independently from your existing health insurance designed to fit your lifestyle and needs, giving you access to mental health crisis support, telehealth appointments, and the opportunity to distribute those benefits to your family members as well.

TGive Virtual Care offers three different Virtual Healthcare Membership plans designed to meet your needs and lifestyle. This is not health insurance, but works independently as a supplement to your existing coverage. Each membership plan includes access to unlimited telehealth doctor appointments, discounts on prescription medications, and access to crisis counseling and online therapy. They also allow you to share those benefits with members of your family as needed. You can learn more about the Virtual Healthcare Membership plan options and costs here.

The Virtual Healthcare Membership plans offered by Give Virtual Care is for telemedicine and DO NOT cover in person doctor visits, urgent care, emergency room, hospital stays or other in-person medical visits.

All services associated with the Virtual Healthcare Membership plan you choose go active within seven days of your subscription.

Yes! A Virtual Healthcare Membership is not health insurance and works independently.

Yes! Each of the Virtual Healthcare Membership plans include access to virtual crisis counseling 24/7 so it’s available when you need it most.
