Background:
Virtual Violet debuted in April 2001 by Sigma
Kappa Sorority and 7 Talents, a Web-design agency. In November 2001,
Sigma Kappa brought the e-magazine in-house. Currently, over 25,000
Sigma Kappa alumnae receive the monthly link to the new Virtual Violet.
Virtual
Violet was created to provide Sigma Kappa alumnae with a way to stay
connected to one another and to the national organization. Alumnae can
read news about the Sorority, look up alumnae chapter/club events in
their area, visit the newest vendors in Shop Sigma Kappa, and contact
national headquarters through Virtual Violet. Virtual Violet also
allows alumnae to look up other sisters who have an e-mail address on
file in the national headquarters database from every chapter of Sigma
Kappa.Simply Sisterhood, a section of Virtual Violet which debuted
in March 2004, is a place for Sigma Kappas to share marriage and baby
announcements, Sigma Kappa symbol sightings or gatherings of Sigma
Kappa sisters.
How:
If you would like to receive Virtual Violet, contact National Headquarters. To view Virtual Violet, go to For Sisters Only, Publication Library.
